I’ve made it to Edinburgh! I’m staying with my other co-counselor Nicole. On the night we first arrived, she had a mini camp reunion and I got to see 7 other counselors from this summer! As you might expect, we all talked about our campers and relived the memories haha. This is my third day, and I am just now going to set off to do something touristy, haha. Catching up with friends is well worth it.
Our main event yesterday was eating at Cosmo, a world buffet. I can say this proudly as an American- I have never seen a more decadet buffet ever in my life. When the Scots say “world buffet” they mean it. They had food from every single country- sushi, Indian food, British food, Chinese food, meat skewers, a whole aisle of dessert. My group was there for… a few hours. So worth it.
This was the view from our seats. Haha
These are my lunch companions… post battle. We pretty much waddle home.
We also made a gander through the National Gallery of Scotland, where we hung out with some Van Gogh’s and Degas’… I’m getting really spoiled with all the magnificant art I get to see.
We hung out in a pub for a good part of the evening. I do love the English way of chilling in the pubs.
I am off to go “touristing”
